If you get a chance to forget the rest of the world and raise a family in the woods, please do. Until then, I'll keep enjoying your podcasts as long as you make them. This one was my favorite so far.
I will if I can, mate. Thanks.
That green orb was probably one of the gods.
In the Aryan legends, the gods are shapeshifters. When they first enter this world from theirs, they usually look like bright lights, then eventually they transmogrify into whatever shape they want.
Most people and machines can't see them since the gods are naturally right above gamma rays on the electromagnetic spectrum, but some people can see them(psychics).
The gods are outside of our time, and they already know what happens to each of us in the future. Maybe you did something great in the future, and the gods wanted to see you before you did it?
Yeah, I've been watching some videos and discussion about the Electric Universe model, and I've begun to think that it has some merit. I don't think the Gods are outside of time, necessarily, but that they are connected to the regenerative and recycling energies of the universe. Thus they are an eternally expressed essence or constantly re-manifesting component of the universe itself.
That' regenerative concepts interesting, so do you think the gods are Unliving energies? A power in the architecture of the universe?
My take is the gods are alive, a different species which lives in a world opaque to ours. So the Vikings and the celts wrote the myths to be taken literally, except people who haven't had these experiences can't understand and reduce them to metaphors.
I sound like a fuckin nutter I know lol but I only believe this because I come into contact with them every know and then. If you don't believe all that (I wouldn't either if i hadn't seen it myself) just don't forget the paranormal influences at work in the world, man and the animals ain't the only pieces on the chessboard.
Hey try this; Here's the most likely way to meet them;
On a Wednesday, 8-10pm on the 24th of any month,go to the summit of a mountain, start a small fire and watch the sky. Sacrifice an animal there too if you can, Garunteed you'll meet them, then the myths will take on a whole knew meaning.
How modern day pagans see the gods to how the ancients saw them was different, and I think regaining that ancient knowledge and mindset will give a lot of strength and vitality to the movement.
Anyway, i enjoy the poscasts doom, hail the gods and hail victory!
Living for only myself doesn't get me off anymore.
I know right. That's how I feel. Still, it kinda sucks ya know. Other people are needlessly contrarian and obtuse.
An excellent podcast from the one and only Doom Guard
